Our Services

We have carefully selected our service offering based on the skills and experience we possess. It would be easy for us to throw in all manner of marketing services such as 4K cinematic video production, logo design & branding, for example; but for starters, we don’t have extensive experience in some of these, and also, whilst we may possess and have experience with full scale video production for instance, we don’t particularly want to do it! (Getting up at 4am to drive to shoot locations at the other end of the country just broke me….) Thus, if we don’t like it, we don’t do it – because we won’t give it our best; and we WANT to give it our best!

Aaaaand moving on..….

The written word, graphic design, video and audio can be utilised in a multitude of ways; therefore we have decided to offer the following services based on our skills, experience, and the probability of them generating effective results for our clients’ overall content strategy.

We work closely with each and every one of our clients to ensure that we have a cast iron understanding of their individual needs, and can deliver a bespoke service. Just like the ‘slow food movement’ in gastropubs, a good result takes time to create. For this reason, none of our work is rushed, but we are, of course, time-aware, and endeavour to turnaround your content as quickly as possible. So, for anyone that requests 1000 words of copy for 9am the next morning, you’ll hear us say the following – “you get what you wait for!”.

(See individual services pages for more info.)

All of the following services can be incorporated into various bespoke packages to give our clients the reassurance that their content is being taken care of month after month.

If there are additional and related services that you’re looking for, let us know as we have a plethora of jolly good peeps that can do all sorts of media production.

Blogs

Regular published content enhances SEO (SearchEngine Optimisation). By posting regularly to your blog feed, this is the best way the website will climb up the search engine rankings, due to their algorithms treating it as an important website that produces regular content; meaning they would treat it as more relevant to the audience/viewer.

Blogs can literally be about anything relevant to your industry. For example, let’s say you own a beauty salon. On a ‘micro’ level, you may want to rave about the latest beauty product that you’ve just trialed in your salon. On a ‘macro’ level, you might want to write about a global hair trend that is storming the red carpet. The possibilities are endless.

Social Videos

There are some stats that suggest only 20% of website visitors will read your site’s content all the way through, whereas 80% will watch a video from start to finish. So there’s a chance a lot of your content isn’t being looked at at all. The majority of large businesses will have some form of video content which is contributory to their success. Ten years ago, producing videos was more of a luxury – these days it’s pretty much essential. This is why video is a vital element in your content marketing strategy.

Videos are a great way of delivering content in an easily absorbable format, that, when done well, engages viewers far more than text alone. They can come in the form of short company promos, testimonials from happy clients, advertising events and special offers, short company intro profiles that can be shared across all your social media platforms, and anything else in between.

Social Media Marketing

Why is social media marketing important? 95% of marketers who use social media at least 6 hours per week indicated their social media efforts increased exposure for their businesses. (Source: Hubspot)

Further statistics show that 97% of marketers participate in social media, yet a whopping 85% are uncertain as to which social media tools are of most benefit (Source:Hubspot). In other words, a huge number of businesses are using it but don’t quite know what they’re doing.

This is where Happy Content Co. comes into play.

Social media marketing involves regular interaction with your ‘follower’ base across several platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin. Whilst quantity is important to a point, post quality is also integral. Gaining traffic to your website is only the result of social media marketing, but in order to get that result, you need to create content that is applicable to each platform.

Graphics & Design

Whilst written content is all very important, us humans are very simple creatures who like to see bright, pretty images that draw us into something. They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover…..but let’s face it – we do! There are occasions when written content is essential but more often that not, our eyes glaze over when we’re presented with a wall of text, and graphics or design can help break this up and make it more visually appealing.

A study called ‘Leveraging the Research on Visual Communication’ shows that we recall pictures better than words, and that “communicating with both graphics and text is well suited to the way our minds work”. According to that study, it further states that we should never underestimate the power of visuals to engage and inspire users (Dewan, 2015 – source). You may also have heard of ‘The Picture Superiority Effect’; the phenomenon in which pictures and images are more likely to be remembered than words.

Geekiness aside, why wouldn’t you include imagery in your content marketing? (I’m feeling the need to include an image now, since we’ve been talking about it!)

Happy Content Co. can produce a wide range of graphics as part of your monthly marketing; from ‘featured images’ to appear alongside your blogs (something which a vast number of WordPress websites rely on these days), online banner ads, flyers, social media graphics, and pretty much anything else in between.

Writing Services

Okay, we’d like to make two points about copywriting.

Point one; there is no shame in paying for a writing service. It doesn’t mean you aren’t smart enough and it doesn’t mean you’re lazy. You may hear folk hollering at you,‘write your own site content! Save your money, you fool!’

That’s all well and good if you have the time, the confidence and the inclination to do so. However, there are certain ‘skills’ with writing that engage a reader, and being aware of these can help capture your audience. I often come back to a wickedly funny statement made by the late Eric Morecambe when attempting to play the piano: “I’m playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!”.

Writing is much the same; it must tell a story. There must always be a continuation of ‘flow’ to enable the smooth transition from paper to brain. Many of us are saying the right things but neglecting to do so in the right order, thereby neglecting the reader of said ‘story’.

We, at Happy Content Co., can remove this burden from you, and produce content that will make your audience glow with delight.

Point two: very important; copywriting, copy editing and proofreading need to be differentiated so you can ensure that we’re doing the right marketing for you. Copywriting involves you, the client, providing us with the framework for the content and us getting to work on it from scratch. Copy editing means you’ve written the content and want us to read and highlight edits to perfect the piece. Proofreading involves us, at Happy Content Co., reading your content and simply drawing attention to areas that require attention with no further edit.

We’re here to advise so don’t worry yourself too much with this, our aim is to simplify, not over-complicate.
